About This Tour
The Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek is one of Nepal’s most popular short treks, perfect for travelers seeking breathtaking Himalayan views within a few days. This 3–4 day journey offers a beautiful combination of lush rhododendron forests, traditional Gurung & Magar villages, stone staircases, and panoramic mountain scenery.
The highlight of this trek is the magical sunrise from Poon Hill, where golden rays touch the snow-capped peaks of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. Starting from Pokhara, this trek is ideal for beginners, families, students, and travelers with limited time who still want a true Himalayan trekking experience.

Your journey begins with a scenic drive from Pokhara to Birethanti by private car. From there, you continue by jeep to Hille and begin trekking towards Banthanti. The trail passes through charming villages, terraced fields, and dense forests. Gentle uphill walking prepares you for the adventure ahead.
Overnight stay at a teahouse in Banthanti.
Altitude: 2,250mm Trekking: 4–5 Hours WalkingAfter breakfast, you trek through beautiful rhododendron forests and traditional settlements. The trail gradually ascends with stone steps and forest paths leading to Ghorepani village.
Enjoy evening mountain views and prepare for the early sunrise hike.
Overnight stay at Ghorepani.
Altitude: 2,874mm Trekking: 5–6 Hours WalkingEarly morning hike to Poon Hill for breathtaking sunrise views over Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges. After enjoying the panorama, return to Ghorepani for breakfast.
Then trek down to Ulleri and continue to Hille. Drive back to Pokhara by jeep. (Optional jeep pickup available from Ulleri upon request.)
Trip ends in Pokhara.
